Seems to be a perfect fit for his game with this team and/or coach.

Restricted FA. This is the 4th year of his rookie contract. The qualifying
offer is 5.4 mil.
They may sign him to a bigger contract, let him shop and match a reasonable
offer, or he might take that qualifying offer and be an unrestricted FA the
next summer.
Since he likely would not get more than the mid-level elsewhere that last
might be his best option unless he wants the security of a longer contract.

I heard something on the radio show about his mom saying that she thought
$30 million over 4 years was about right. I don't know if she is acting
as his agent. ;-)

That would be a start at about 6.5 mil.
Does not seem too far out of line.
