Albeit against a good team, but this was just sad. I think the wolves
had a lead of 80-67 and I go to watch the Wild and next thing you know,
they are losing 86-85. This ended in a 40-11 run by SA. Whittman was
as usual at a loss for words.
But fear not....this morning on WCCO radio a partial owner Bill Popp
said this is an exciting team that has more character, but less ability
than the previous years team. I sure hope this was not a shot at
Garnett. Anyways if we care more about character than wins and losses,
I bet my parochial school nuns might be available.
The Wolves do have upside....the question is how much. >> Stay informed about: Yet Another 4th Quarter Collapse |

The Wolves are kinda like the Vikes. It's as if they go into 'prevent' mode
for the 4th quarter. All it does is prevent them from winning.
I was watching the Celtics-Heat game. Celtics scored 12 in the 4th quarter.
Turnovers, fouls, poor shot selection. Looked awful. And this was the
starting five. Luckily they had a 20pt lead & still won. So I guess any
team can have a bad quarter.
While watching the Celtics, I imagine it's the Wolves. I imagine the Wolves
kept Garnett and traded for Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Only they're wearing
those puke green uniforms.
Then again, if all three were playing for the Wolves, they'd have a 7-7
record instead of 13-2. Just good enough to make the playoff & loose in the
first round. Ho-hum. >> Stay informed about: Yet Another 4th Quarter Collapse |

Wait....why trade for Ray Allen....didn't they draft him and then traded
him? Another McHale genius move. So we could have had McHale and Allen
and then added someone like Pierce. If they didn't violate league
policy and make so many other stupid trade, this would have been very
possible. Just think what could have been. All the more reason to
throw McHale out of Minnesota and send him back to Celtic land. >> Stay informed about: Yet Another 4th Quarter Collapse |

You have no way to know "what could have been". That's only pure
speculation and daydreaming on your part.
The reality is that McHale has screwed the Wolves for years, yes...
but to speculate about "what could have been" is a waste of your
time, and ours.

No, that is why I said just THINK what could have been. If people only
posted facts, we wouldn't need to debate or speculate. No reason to
come to these newsgroups. Just pick up a copy of the Strib. I realize
you are probably just trying to test my patience, but as I said before,
kill filter me if you think I am wasting your time.
Again, just think what could have been........ >> Stay informed about: Yet Another 4th Quarter Collapse |

Well, if you want to go down that road of fairy tales (which
I know you already believe in), then just think "what could
have been" if Terrell Brandon didn't have glass knees?
Maybe the Wolves would have been champions if he was
injury free. Or what if Wally Szczerbiak wasn't such a
crybaby and didn't spoil the team chemistry and the
trio of KG-Cassell-Sprewell? Maybe the Wolves could
have won a championship. Or what if KG didn't consistently
disappear on the court once the playoffs started? The Wolves
may have won a championship. Or what if.....etc.
As you can see, it might be fun to play that game and believe
in fairy tales, but it doesn't do anything in regard to the factual
reality of the situation now.

More of a hypotehtical pipedream about the Twins getting
A-Rod for Santana (and A-Rod getting pissed off about it)
than anything rooted in reality.
