After bumbling around the whole tourney, Oden shows
he has game, finally looking like a #1 draft choice.
Spectacular and dominating and just a monster talent.
But 17% (vs 56%) for three point shots tells the story,
and that includes two garbage shots in the last minute.
Florida found and made the open shots. Ohio St did not.
Seems like Florida does this to all their opponents,
their overall defense is very much under-appreciated.
They just relentlessly wear down all their opponents.
Every scramble situation resulted in another dagger.
Everybody stepped up to do whatever was needed.
No big stars, just some incredible team basketball.

Here are the top results after final round 6:

95 points: Bob Buchner (1/1)
83 points: Chuck D'Ambra (1/1)
82 points: Andrew Murawa (0/1)
82 points: Greg Flint (0/1)

I can't complain. It beats my usual high-60's or low-70's
totals from the past few years.

I really thought this was one of the toughest years to pick
games because there were so few mid-majors that the chances
of early round upsets went down. I should have gone with
my initial gut reaction and picked Florida, but Kansas had
looked so good late that I switched and chose them.

Looking back on the tournament games that I watched, I think
that overall team depth may have been more important this
year than in the past. I don't think too many games were
won by a single superstar and those that were won that way
also saw the winner having a good supporting cast.
