What was the difference in the Kings last night? Easy. It was Adelman and
his style. He actually grew a pair last night. In the third quarter, when
the Kings 20 point lead and momentum beginning to stutter, he actually did
the correct thing. Peja was responsible for two consecutive turnovers and
coach got mad. I never have seen him like this. He began yelling at Peja
on the side line and promptly set him down. Wow. What a break from
tradition for him. He finally had the guts to confront a core player.

Any way, that was the turning point of the game. Under normal
circumstances, that would have been the point where the Kings would have
surrendered the lead. But Adelman's newfound toughness is what saved the
day. Even Peja came back in later and began playing more properly, passing
and playing defense. Maybe coach is beginning to sense his job is on the
line.

Dave, I have to admit, that impressed me as well. At least for a game, he
got rid of that petulant child look that he gets when guys aren't doing the
job. Not only did he blatantly chew some ass, he benched Peja.

The team played with some fire, which is a good sign heading towards a tough
road trip.
