The Grizz are apparently buying out Antoine Walker's contract, presumably
to make room for Darius Miles. I'm surprised at this move coming from
Chris Wallace, but obviously this is a great opportunity for the Celtics
to add Walker as a veteran with a ring in the Posey/Brown role.

This is a rare chance to add a veteran capable of putting up 20/10/5 with
great three point range. Not to mention he's very durable. He comes from
the same college program as Rondo so they could probably work well together.

(Man. Would you believe that Walker is #3 in NBA minutes among UK grads?
He won't pass Dan Issel but he might pass Louie Dampier. Might. And I
don't think Tayshaun Prince will pass him.)

Possibly to keep Skeptic in the right frame of mind, we can waive Davis
to make room.

The police want to talk with you. Provide a urine sample while you're at
it.

Why wouldn't Prince pass him? Wouldn't another 4 or 5 full years do
it? I think he could be a starter in the league for that long.

Walker is at 31,531. Prince is way down at 15,566. So... 3K minutes a
year, 5 years, I guess Prince'll do it barring some big injury.
Although 3K minutes is a lot -- only 18 players managed it last year.

@ 22-2 I'd really have to have a Basketball Expert CONVINCE me there's
any reason to bring any Player to the C's -- "If it ain't broke, don't
fix it".

Antoine Walker - he gave his all for the C's, I'd never question his
heart was in the right place .. I would question if alot of his "shot
selection was" in the right place -- simply put he took way too many
<ill advised 3's> ..etc. Twas a different team with a different Coach
then. Just not sure he'd MESH with the current C's.

Mutambo - Gawd if he was "only 25" with this current team .. if the
price was right and he understood a LIMITED ROLE with spotty minutes I'd
be OK with a spot on the bench for him; Danny and Doc would have THAT
answer. I'm not sure his knees could keep pace with the current C's //
NBA.

Nicely "strange" how NBA Players want to be a Celtic NOW :-)

I was scared for a moment when I didn't see a 04/01/2008 date stamp on it.
In Bryant I trust. :-p
