Both wont get moved. That would be almost impossible. I think Artest
is replaceable, but what you are going to get in return for Bibby is
less than 50% of what we give up. I'm not so sure that neither will be
dealt before the begining of the season and one will move just before
the trade deadline.

If they can get picks and a servicible player I'd dump both to clear
cap space and completely rebuild...Just think about the roster and
trying to get into the playoffs. It seems like a distant dream right
now....

Not just the starting lineup (assuming that what is meant by roster)
but we are not deep anymore. I think that was one of the good things
about the old teams. Jon Barry, Bobby Jackson, Turkalu (sp?) and
others coming off the bench. Now the bench only has Salmons and
Garcia. We not only need a new PG but we need viable bench players.
Thomas and SARS will not cut it.

That's why I'm thinking dump Bibby AND Artest to get more than two
players who can play even if they are eventually going to be subs.
Then you can get a FA and a couple draft picks next year and build
something with Hawes, Kmart, the players obtained in the trade, the
draft picks and a FA.....go young like Toronto did...

There is a rumor that Luke Ridnour might be available. While he is not
bibby, he would cost less money and is at least a decent PG. Package
him and a draft pick for Bibby. That might be win-win for both teams.

I agree with you. Luke is a servicible PG with a lot of heart and
energy. I think the change of Scenery would do a lot for both
players....

But here is the scary part of my idea:

Jeff Green + Kevin Durant + Mike Bibby = playoff team.

Thats doesn't help us out much. So my idea goes down the drain. We
need a good serviceable PG from the East.

I don't see Green, Durant and Bibby making up a playoff team,
sorry....In fact, Green impresses me very little. Bibby is on his way
down, and two rookies aren't going to carry you to the post season
unless they are James, Duncan etc.

I disagree. I think if Bibby were to see that the Kings dumped Artest and
held on for hope with Bibby then Bibby would kick ass this season. I say
keep Bibby.
