Any updates? I thought they were trying to get a deal done in a 10 day
window? They need to do something, the Pacers need some more help if their
going to make a run at it this year. The rookie is good, but losing Artest
hurts.

The team needs to adjust only slightly. After all, they hardly had
Ron at all last season and did well. The other night in Cleveland,
the Pacer defense held LaBron to 14 points but still lost the game.
When they met earlier in the season with Artest, they held LaBron to
19 points.

Granger is looking pretty good. Tinsley needs to get into game shape
and stay healthy and someone needs to step up and take the scoring
load off of Jermaine. Specifically, Stephen Jackson needs to pick it
up. He's only scoring 14 a game (down from his previous two years
averages) and he's only hitting .333 % of his 3's and .422 % of his
FG. While both of those numbers are at or above his career average,
he needs to improve in order to help the team more.

At this stage of the season, I'm just not sure how much, in terms of a
starting player, the Pacers can get for Ron especially if we're only
looking at the Knicks.

Both sides need to meet and iron this thing out with the intention of
getting Ron back on the floor. He'll need to mend his fences with the
players, but it can be done.

Regards and Merry Christmas to All,

I don't think they will trade him to the Knicks. This is where he wants to
go, but I've read they would prefer to trade him to a west coast team. I
agree with your assessment of Jackson. I remember he was a dangerous
shooter when he played for the Spurs, not sure what happened to his shot. I
watch the Cleveland game and the one thing that killed the Pacers was
interior defense. They got allot of easy baskets off of some simple pick
and rolls. O'Neil actually has to play the center position even though they
list him at PF. I'd like to see Indiana get a good big man. Not necessarily
a great scorer, but a banger who will crash the boards, play hard defense
and give the Pistons fits. Come on Santa, please!!
