....especially considering the season's about to start.

I'd make more noise but I've been out of town a ton. Just about
finished.

Looking to drink the kool-aid...

I am pretty pumped up. I know the Oden situation has been the focus of a lot
of negativity, but I was encouraged by the finish last year. LA, BRoy and
the gritty play of TO got me jacked enough to buy half a season, four
tickets worth!

So far, I have not been disappointed.

The only thing I am really thinking needs addressing is Joel, he has not
looked good this year at all. Really sluggish, not defending in the box.
This will be a problem matching up with several teams, need to do something.
Sticking CFrye in the middle Friday seemed to be much more effective, and
inspiring to the other guys.

So, I will look for a gelling effect to continue to take place and we reach
40, maybe 45 wins! <whew!>

Go Blazers, and lets have some fun!

Mark

of course...and I'm actually encouraged by the last 2 or 3 games more
then the ones he scored so much. He's been rebounding and not turning
it over. I haven't seen any of the games so i don't know if he's done
a lot better about not hanging out around the 3 point line. Sounds
like it. And I don't know how he's done on defense, although if he'd
been having last year's problems I assume nate would have mentioned
it.

All these little nagging injuries aren't real encouraging, but the
biggest concern of course is Roy's heel. I'm thinking it will bother
him at least once during the season and cause him to miss some games.

While it would be nice to have another high lottery pick, I'm tired of
portland being in the lottery...even with last year's success...

The playoffs aren't much of a possibility, but it would be excitiong,
and good for the team if they were at least in the hunt for a spot I'm
thinking.

derrick rose or michael beasley would be nice additions though!

I will be happy if he just improves mostly on the best parts of his game
this season. Once he is steady on offense and trusts his own game he can
work more on defense without it effecting him so much mentally.

Good for the bottom line too. Make the accountants happy... =)

Have to let this team grow up sometime. They still have a couple of rookies
coming in next year besides the draft.

Kobe must be feeling guilty again;
he just bought Jim Gray a diamond.

I suppose that's true. However, by all reports this is going to be a
deep draft, especially for PG's so if portland has a high enough pick
they could pick up a player on roy-aldridge level. That could be good.

I wouldn't be surprised either if a top ten pick was packaged with
lafrentz's expiring and some other players to try and upgrade through
a big trade.

After looking at 'available' free agents in 2009, the plan to use
cap-space to lure a FA isn't too appealing.

Yeah...arenas..oh dear. But some of the restricted FAs might be a big
possible. Some of these teams in the tax might not want to match a big
offers. But I think that they will take it easy, they are looking at 3 max
contracts down the road for their own.
