Second quarter, Brad Miller goes up for an easy 2 and Tyrus jumped so
high I think he could have touched the top of the backboard to block it.
Next play down, Artest goes up for a layup, sees Tyrus, and just sort of
flips it up for a miss.
Next possession: Tyrus gets his second foul and goes out of the game.
This is, I think, the encapsulation of where he's at. Defensively, I
think he can guard any 3, 4 or 5 in the league other than Shaq (when
Shaq is Shaq). He can run with guards, jump with forwards -- so high, in
fact, he can play against taller centers without giving up anything.
They said Tyrus would be insanely good, but it's astounding to note how
good he is now. And he's in the perfect situation, where the team is not
reliant on what he brings... but is better when he brings it.
