One more series to root on the Celtics. I really hope he gets to hoist
that trophy. I'll enjoy that moment - not nearly as much as if it had
been with the Wolves. But I'll still enjoy it.

Hi Matt...

Yah, me too.

The "new" Celtics clearly shows us the sad state of professional
basketball as practiced by teams owned by Glen Taylor (don't forget
the Lynx). Looking at the coach and players between the Celts and
the Wolves, it's clear that Taylor doesn't get it. The only time the
Wolves came close was the MV3 season, which I believe is now
considered a failed "experiment". Now, I haven't bothered to analyze
the economics of the Boston team, but it can't be too far off the
chart -- if a Finals appearance has value. I think Taylor's "business
acumen" is contributing to the continual lack of success for the
Wolves. Remember how cheap he was about upgrading the scoreboard?

Unlike Mark Cuban, Glen seems to be just fine with a team that puts a
fair number of butts in the arena, maybe gets to the 1st round of the
playoffs. That Cuban's relative ineptness seems to rival McHale's at
times is a problem for the Mavericks, but I love how hard he tries to
support his team with is heart, soul, and most importantly, his wallet.
