Post subject: Broadcast blackout on DirectTV
Archived from groups: alt>sports>basketball>nba>ind-pacers (more info?)

We've always gotten the Pacers broadcast on Fox Sports and/or channel 4 out
of Indy. Since the Boston game this year on November 15 we've been blacked
out on Fox Sports Indiana their sole carrier this year. If we bought the NBA
League Pass from DirecTV we would still be blacked out.
We're being blacked out on FS Indiana because after 10 years of receiving
the broadcast they decided we are no longer in the local market, but NBA LP
says we are in the local market and we wouldn't receive the Pacers because
we can get them on their local broadcast channel.... bottom line no Pacers
broadcasts in zip 469xx.
Contacting DirecTV is fruitless, they say they have other complaints and are
forwarding them to their programming department. The only contact I've found
for FS Indiana is the Fox Sports web page, nobody seems to have a phone
number and their web page ph# is just an automated run-around. Contacting
the Pacers I actually talked to a Person in marketing. They said they are
aware of the problem and trying to resolve it.That was 3 blackouts back.
There may be strength in numbers, anybody in the same situation wanting to
file complaints email me at djdieterle DeleteThis @nospam2me.localnet.com and I'll
provide you the contact information.
