The Good:
Defense on Lebron. While he did score 35 points, it took him 34 shots
to do it on 11-34 shooting. Credit to Hassell and help defense.

Banks continues to impress

KG. I wish a few more shots had fallen, but it's tough when he has
such little room to manuever. Still had a good all around game.

Davis scoring and aggressiveness, although I'm not sure I like the idea
of him taking 29 shots and 11 threes, especially when he doesn't have a
"hot hand".

The Bad:
Interior defense was horrid. Blount was terrible. He must score to
offset his defense.
Casey exhiling EG. EG should be part of the rotation.

Lack of three point shooting. This is the part of the trade that is
killing the Wolves right now. They need an outside threat to keep
teams honest. Otherwise, teams will continue to zone them to death
knowing they don't have anybody that can hurt them outside. I have
never seen KG boxed in and doubled and tripled as much as he is right
now. Phoenix at times had 4 guys converge on him. Does anybody know
if Bracey Wright can shoot the three? If he can, he needs to be called
up.

I think this game exposed the Pheonix win as something of a mirage.
It's time to build for the future. Play Banks, McCants, Wright, etc.
and figure out who's for real.

Let's be realistic. This team ain't playoff-bound.

Stating the obvious, the Wolves need an upgrade at
PG and C. Banks may work out, but I've got serious
doubts now about Blount. Thinking on this theme, it
occurred to me that McHale seems to only know about
power forwards (KG, Joe Smith, Eddie Griffin...)

In light of McHale's replacement of Saunders as coach last season, I
would be MORE IMPRESSED with McHale if he actually SUITED UP and played
PF/C himself this season!

BTW, I'm going to the Jazz game on Friday night with the Wife and kids.
The game is NOT going to be on local TV, so that works out.

The Boston media and fans seem to have been dead on about him.

I'm not that optimistic. I believe they'll slowly fade further and
further out of the picture. By April, it won't even be interesting
anymore.

Hope I'm wrong, but ... I'm really down on this team right now. Maybe
it'll be enough to FINALLY end the long, brutal McHale regime.
