Congratulations to Detroit Shock

Congratulations to the Detroit Shock on becoming the 2003 WNBA Champions.
Great game and great series. 22,000 attendance for the third game! wow!
fantastic! This was the best WNBA finals yet.

From last place to champions; unbelieveable.

Bill Laimbeer did an incredible job turning the Shock around in little more
than a year. He not only saved the Detroit Shock franchise but possibly the
entire league. WNBA MVP (Most Valuable Person) should be Bill Laimbeer. I
sincerely hope he stays on with the Shock.

It was a tough (and terrible) year for the Los Angeles Sparks. It was tough
for the Sparks to be the defending champions.

THE SPARKS WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR!!!!!

Yay Shock! With the Tigers in shambles, at least we Detroit fans had
*one* good professional team to cheer for this year.

Though, in the interests of full disclosure: I must admit, sheepishly,
that all I saw of the Shock this year was the last 18 minutes of Finals
Game 3. Since I live in West Virginia now, it's sometimes hard to keep
Detroit teams on my radar and this was a perfect example.

(I would have watched the whole game tonight, actually, but I had choir
practice at my church.)
