Gee I hope not because that would really ruin it for me. As if ESPN doesn't
give that "beak" enough air time during the basketball season.

Your an ass. She deserves all the attention she gets. Are you a
jealous Vol fan or what? Or are you just a sexist pig....Who is afraid
of women's accomplishments in sports. >> Stay informed about: Will Diana go to the ESPY Awards |

Sorry, Lynn, but didn't mean to offend your sensibilities. As you can
probably tell, I'm not much of a DT fan. I do applaud women's
accomplishments in sports. My dislike for DT is NOT based on an profound
reason but on something very superficial. Whenever I've watched her on TV
with that hair combed back, all I can see is that big "nose" or beak of
hers. It's a huge distraction and and huge "turn-off" for me. Reminds me of
when Danny Ainge was commentating on a Sacramento Kings game and he couldn't
stop laughing about Turkoglu's beak. Anyway, you really don't have to take
my remarks that seriously. You can continue to adore and admire DT, and I
will continue to be bothered by that "beak".

You really pissed me off, and it's not that I worship Diana...It's
that I asked a simple question, and you acted like a.) a Lady Vol fan.
You know the ones who made a big deal about her swearing. or b.) a
sexist pig. the guys who think the only women who should be on t.v. is
Britney Spears look alikes. Oh and look you proved me right. How can
you say that you support women's sports when you also say you don't
like DT because of her nose. That is really low and classless. She is
going to go down as one of the best women's basketball players ever.
If you wanna watch babes go put on mtv. >> Stay informed about: Will Diana go to the ESPY Awards |

I guess I'm crazy, but I find her hot just the way she is -- "beak" and all. I
liked her from her freshman season onward. As a player and as a good-looking
babe. Mind you, I'd never say that she is "model pretty", but with chicks,
there's a wide range of what I consider attractive. Diana is far, FAR from
unattractive.

Do a google serarch on "CB" in this newsgroup from last spring and
you'll see that "CB" says lots of ignorant things. Don't take its
comments personally, only for what they are.

Actually, Lynn, they don't have to look like Brittany Spear. I love watching
Ann Strother, Maria Conlon and even Barbara Turner, and I don't think any
one of those can be accused of being MTV types. In fact, I kinda like
Conlon's play because she just went about her business in a very quiet and
unassuming way and her efforts went relative unheralded. Actually she had a
better turnover-assist ration compare to Taurasi, (130a/65t vs.
151a/115t).As for DT "going down as one of the best women's basketball
players ever", I think the jury is still out on that one and you're gonna
get a lot of arguments on that one. Let's see what kind of post-college
success she has.

At least I was a model of consistency. IIRC, there were times when you
contradicted yourself on several posts, sometimes even on the same post,
speaking of tripping over your own foot.

Your lack of reading comprehension was what lead only you to think I
was contradicting myself. Others pointed this out to you too but you're
oblivious. Try to focus more on contributing something of value to the
discussions here.

Contribution? I must admit that you have contributed to this newsgroup.
However, you contribution can be deftly summarized in one word CONFUSION.
The only thing that you have contributed is that you have managed to confuse
readers due to your lack of consistency and your penchant for contradicting
yourself. You do the proverbial "talking from both sides of your mouth" and
you seem to be always non-committal when pressured to express your
preferences. Perhaps, a sign showing sheer lack of conviction or perhaps
just plain lack of the good old "cajones" if you can forgive my French.

If you were turned off by Diana, what about Ayana Walker ("Bird") from
LA Tech - Diana is a princess in comparison, and the tv commentators
could not talk about Ayana's on-court accomplishments or talent, ONLY
about where she got her nickname and describing her looks! THAT was a
turn off. At least with Diana there is a big personality, humor,
humbleness despite her confidence, that comes across along with her
talent.
