I see your point, but it doesn't hurt Kobe's chances to have Dirk say
this. What DOES hurt Kobe's chances are his teammates not stepping up.
Sure, almost everyone's injured or sick right now, but still: you
gotta put Bobcats and Grizzlies away, on your home court, with NOH and
six other teams like hellhounds on your trail.

In Laker-ville some people think Chris Paul has passed Kobe in the MVP
race. Okay, but even though the Lakers lost to lowly MEM, Kobe went
53/10. He would've had more than 1 assist if his guys could hit their
open jumpers.

Dirk's no slouch as a player, but I think his sentiments about Kobe
and the MVP are dead-on.

I wonder what Nash thinks about Kobe never having won an MVP?

The problem i see in Dirk is that he doesn't improve each year. He is

Not really. Kobe pretty much conceded the case and paid her under the table.
Kind of like what Michael Jackson did. Whatever, the case, I don't care
about that sh_t. I focus about on the court stuff..

I, for one, believe that because I do believe in the Hate
Theory. With some voters, Kobe Bryant has to earn an MVP by a
wide margin just to get on their ballot. Some of them will jump
for any excuse to bump him down a notch or two on the list.
