"***the woman claimed that one such "mix-up" was triggered by her concern
that Detective Doug Winters, lead investigator on the Bryant case, "did not
believe what had happened to me." ***"

She told the detective she was late for work because she had told a white
lie to her boss. She did not want her boss finding out differently on why
she arrived late for work. Guess that means her story is untrue.

Not unusual. When someone does not believe you, even though it is true, you
can embellish trivial parts of the story, which is exactly what she did. The
fact she came clean on trivial things such as cleaning her face (something
she totally did not have to come clean on) just leads me to believe even
more that the rape did take place.

Thanks for that. It really helped me believe that Kobe is guilty, along with
Kobes own words.

She "came clean" more than a year after the lies were told.
She just let them float out there all that time, and didn't
correct them until shortly before the thing was going to trial,
where she knew her story wouldn't hold up to the scrutiny.

He sat out games in that series?

Again, do you even watch Mavs games? You keep throwing out cliches that
had some truth earlier this decade but not in several years at least.

There is a case that Wilt is better (indeed I'd make that case myself), but
it's hardly absurd to suggest that Jordan is #1, and it is absurd to put
him any lower than #2.

If you're going on an NBA hatah rant, that's an odd thing to include.

Playing with their rules and their smaller ball? Not a huge wonder, that's
huge built-in advantages for the rest of the world.

Nobody, but I wouldn't want to have to face a jury trial in a
racist county, even as an innocent man.

I posted that link describing the letter. Her lawyers wrote it, told
Kobe they'd back out if he signed it. Kobe signed it.

Their words, not his.

Do you have trouble reading?

Laurel, all you have to do is point to your support of Hillary.

Right there is rock solid proof that it takes a whole hell of a lot
for you to side with the black man over the pathologically lying white
woman.

That makes me believe her even more. A year afterwards she corrects
something trivial? So she has a concious enough to correct something
trivial... but you think she would hide something bigger? That's hilarious!

After she was caught in the lies as she told different versions of the
story....

Why do you approve of someone that took money over justice while claiming
Kobe should have had to prove his inocence like this was the Russian court
instead of America?...

That explains a lot. You consider a rape accusation to be
trivial. No wonder you'd value the ink on that letter high
enough to risk your freedom in a trial.

There's nothing trivial in the details of a rape accusation.
If it was "trivial", why did she set out to purposely deceive
everybody about it?

False... You are trying to protect Kobe because you idolize him. Nothing
more and nothing less. There is no way that her trivial matters could be
"caught" because they are trivial. It is a he said, she said. The girl sent
the message unprovoked.

However, let's get one thing straight. To you, it would not matter if he did
it or did not do it... You are a fan and just like a family member, you are
going to believe only one persons side of the story.

I don't idolize either person. I just take Kobe's word for it that he can
see how she thought it was rape.

This is my favorite part of any Laurel vs. Newbie-du-jour battle.

DTMB might as well have accused her of campaigning for Bush and enjoying
dogfighting.

Oh for crying out loud, that's what I get for trying to use a negative to
contradict a negative. This should read of course:

"Did Kobe rape her? I honestly don't think so, but I wouldn't bet my life
on it."
