No, I consider telling a District Attorney why you were late for work on
that day "trivial." The rape accusation itself cannot be determined based
soley on a few embellishments and especially when you fear someone does not
believe you.
I guess you should get a divorce from your current wife? Unless ofcourse you
have never embellished a truth when she has accused you of doing something
you did not do.

I value Kobe's admission that he can understand how she saw it as rape.

Your role as a fan brings the ultimate bias.
What she did or with held after the rape is totallty and utterly pointless
to the case. Why? Because there is no one certain way a person acts after a
rape... and therefore with holding information that might be embarassing, is
common place.
You are smearing her at the cost of protecting a Lakers Icon.
Let's do this one more time... Kobe said he can see how she construed it as
rape, for all intents and purposes. I agree with Kobe! >> Stay informed about: Dirk says Kobe Is MVP |

Yes, we're probably biased as Laker fans, but that's far from the "ultimate
bias"... I'd say that's reserved for family members, close friends, and
Kobe/Faber themselves. How about leaving alone the ad hominems for a
moment, especially since your accusations of "Kobe lover" are wrong with at
least one person you're arguing with already, and simply address the issues?
Some of us are able to set our "bias" aside especially WRT something as
trivial as sports and consider something as serious as this without
fan-colored glasses. I don't think you're doing yourself any favors in this
discussion by continually trotting out the "Kobe lover" red herring.

He's doing himself a big favor by succeeding in tweaking half the
Lakers group regulars.

Well, what else do you expect DTMB to say? Seems like a very
broad-view person.
"Black athletes accused of raping white women are guilty."
"People who post in a Laker newsgroup are Kobe fans."

Nonetheless, he seemed guilty to me and I know Laker fans wouldn't convict
Kolby of anything. And I know Laurel is a Bailraisers fan and respect her
but I disagree anyway. Too often victims are not perfect people and perps
are idolized so they get away with anything. Can you say OJ, Kobe or a host
of other stars?

Well, then we should all just forget the evidence and go by how it
"seemed" to you.

Too often those who refuse to look at the facts and base their
decisions on their pre-existing bias are blinded by their hate.

Horse hockey. LA never convicts its stars regardless of guilt. Robert
Blake, OJ, Spector?

You seem to think all are innocent as if stars could never commit a crime.
Like I said, I don't know (neither do you), but I suspect if there were a
video, Kobe would have been convicted of rape. It also makes me wonder why
conniving chick hasn't done this before. Probably because it is a much
higher standard of proof for a star than normal person. >> Stay informed about: Dirk says Kobe Is MVP |

Yeah, well, this was in Colorado, and legal experts, including
at least one judge directly involved with the case, said that
the case was weak.

When did I say that, Moron? YOU are lumping them all together.
I am treating each case seperately.

Based on..... ? He's black? She's white? It certainly ain't
the evidence.
It's true that I only know everything that was reported
(clearly more than you), and what wasn't outright exculpatory
still didn't add up to anything that would remotely hold up
against reasonable doubt. >> Stay informed about: Dirk says Kobe Is MVP |

Yea, he looked a hell of a lot more guilty than innocent. And if you
weren't blinded by crazy fandom, you would see the same thing. Or maybe you
are just naive, I don't know.
BTW, I admired the heck out of the '80's Lakers and attended many games in
Englewood loved Kareem and the boys so Laker hatred is the wrong answer. >> Stay informed about: Dirk says Kobe Is MVP |
