From today's ESPN Insider where Ford talks about this year's rookie class. I
couldn't agree more with his comment about Ford: "T.J. Ford has been special in
Milwaukee. I don't think any of us realized how good he really was until he
went down with a spinal cord injury, and the Bucks promptly went into the
tank."
The sad thing is people still don't seem to understand how special Ford is
and how important he was to the Bucks.

Few coaches, much less fans, realize the value of a true PG. Ford is
underappreciated, and Steve Blake is grossly underappreciated. Being in
DC, I am still miffed that Ford went top-10 and Blake went 38th, but not
because Ford shouldn't have gone top-10. He's definitely a top-10 pick.
He's just not better than Blake.

Speaking of PGs, Telfair is the real deal also.

So much attention is placed on the lack of quality centers in the NBA, but I
think quality PGs are almost just as tough to find. And someone like Ford,
whose primary focus is making his teammates better, is even rarer. There is
absolutely no question the Bucks miss him badly. The record drives that point
home convincingly.

I thought Ford was the best PG in the draft this season. As those in this NG
who were here will tell you, I touted him heavily heading into the draft and
was thrilled when the Bucks took him.The kid's already good and has a very
bright future.

I remember when Michael Redd "wasn't a shooter."
