Does anyone know why ESPN hired Lisa Leslie? Or is it a piece of
cardboard with moving lips? What's next for ESPN? A talking dog?
Why do the idiots at ESPN have two channels showing the women's
basketball college playoffs - ESPN and ESPN-U, and show the same games
on both channels? Do they think everyone wants to watch the same game?
How does this make them more money (since that can be the only reason
they do this)? Or is it?
Why do the airhead, ditz-brain, affirmative-action-hired women game
announcers keep saying "That's what I'm talking about!" It sounds like
that, too - a white women doing a poor imitation of a street gang
dropout. I suppose the woman thinks she is cool, but it sounds arrogant
(and weird) when she talks. Does ESPN think to increase their audience
share among the vast majority of us who don't admire street gangs by
showing us their contempt by trying to educate us in imitation ghetto
language?
Do any of these women announcers ever say anything but "They're letting
'em play!" when one team is fouling the other at will and the refs don't
whistle anyone? Do any of them even know how to do a play-by-play? I
don't watch so I can hear some opinionated bimbo's evalutions and
commentaries.
Just because it's women's basketball does not mean that the announcers
must be women. If ESPN wants to drive away the +50% of their audience
that is men, they should hire more of these unqualifed airheads.
At least I can mute the sound when they have an especially bad
"shrieker." You can find the game on an internet radio station for the
sound (and listenable commentary).
Thank god for FOX and CSPN, etc.
