Perhaps they mean the son....

Artest would kill him.
With Petrie still there Porter might be more likely if they do not hire anyone before when ( and if)
his effort to buy the blazers falls though...

ESPN.com - The Kings have not formally requested permission to interview Spurs assistant coach P.J.
Carlesimo for their head-coaching vacancy, but Kings co-owner Joe Maloof indicated Tuesday that the
request is forthcoming after the Spurs' season ended Monday night.
"I think we'll probably end up talking to P.J.," Maloof said, "but Geoff is really handling all
that." >> Stay informed about: End of the line for Adelman?? |

I didn't even think of that either.
What'd be the over under on Ron going Sprewell on PJ?
Even if PJ is calmer (and I believe he is), Ron makes Sprewell look
like a saint. >> Stay informed about: End of the line for Adelman?? |

Well Bonzi is a maybe. He is a free agent.

I do not see Porter's attempt to buy the Blazers going though, he would be a better choice.

Del Harris has figured out he is not cut out to be a head coach, PJ should stay put.
You realize why we think it is so funny?
Adelman's last two jobs at Portland and GSW were both followed with the hiring of PJ. It's like it
is in the contract or something...

yeah. i knew that pj is going after adelman's scraps. i wonder what
would happen if adelman got divorced.
i think pj was a good head coach at seton hall. maybe having younger
guys who are gone before long helped that situation. but i don't doubt
that pj is wiser and more calm than before.
as for del, he's had 12 full coaching seasons with only 2 sub-500
records, and been to the nba finals. he may not be HOF, but he's better
than a lot of current coaches (for instance, former COY doc rivers).

College they can get away with haranguing players, NBA 30 year olds are a little past accepting that

i just read where carlisimo isn't getting an interview, that they are
taking him out of consideration.

The Kings appear to have crossed P.J. Carlesimo off their list of
coaching candidates to replace Rick Adelman.
According to a source close to the San Antonio assistant, Carlesimo
will not be interviewed. A source within the Spurs organization
confirmed that the Kings have not requested permission to speak with
Carlesimo. Both sources did not want to be named for fear of reprisal.
Kings co-owner Joe Maloof told ESPN last week that the team likely
would talk to Carlesimo, who succeeded Adelman as head coach at
Portland and Golden State.
But the resolution of Carlesimo's status may bring the Kings one step
closer to hiring front-runner John Whisenant, the Monarchs' general
manager and coach. >> Stay informed about: End of the line for Adelman?? |

Well, at least coach Whisenant won't have to worry about stocking the ladies
clubhouse tampon machine so often.
