Weren't there some power forwards around there somewhere, too?

Oh, well, time to go start fretting about setting up and defending 3s.

Who did the Gators get from Huntington? In fact we just sent an
assistant coach there to be the HC at Marshall so we have positive
exports there. Are you getting confused with Patterson's friend Jai
Lucas from Texas?

Hm? wouldn't he want to keep 'em for himself?

Evidently.

I thought they were teammates (I don't follow HS ball, and indeed rarely
pay attention to UK recruiting, generally being content to just wait each
year 'til Big Blue Madness and the first few televised preseason games to
assess the new guys).

How the Hell are they such buddies if the one's from WV and t'other's from
TX?

On Patterson's "Day" who hogged the mike? Figure it out. :^)

Actually I think that it is more than OK for a player to want to be
close to home so that his parents can see them play on a regular
basis. As far as I can figure PP was down to UK, Duke, and UF and any
of those programs would have been good for him. (I know that this is
kind of a semi-troll for a certain poster who might chime in and say
that going to Duke would be a huge mistake, blah, blah, blah, but that
isn't my intention.) Going to UK was the least disruptive to his
family so it was the logical choice. I'm guessing that if Tubby
stayed PP would have announced much earlier. I would have loved for
him to be a Gator, but it wasn't to be. I think that I'll get over
it.

They're first cousins by both their parents.

If you're being serious (and I never can tell) that would make them double
cousins. I assume you mean their parents are siblings who married siblings?

I had a double step-brother... My parents and his swapped spouses. How's
that for weird?

I usually can't tell either, but that was recent enough
to remember, and no I wasn't.
