More on Ford's debut:
He just missed becoming the second NBA player to record a triple-double in
his first game, according to Elias Sports Bureau. In 1960, Oscar Robertson had
21 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the Cincinnati Royals.
I'd say that's pretty impressive company -- and obviously a nice name to be
associated with if you're a Buck. :)
Nice quote here from Al Harrington: "He was at 150 miles per hour out there.
He did a great job and he kept us on our heels all night."
We all know he's quick (well most of us know that anyway, some people
apparently were so busy talking about his size they forgot to talk about his
strengths as a player and this is a big one), but what impressed me most was
his ability to get into the paint and create shots for his teammates and for
himself. Again, this is an attribute those of us who actually watched him play
in college knew was one of his biggest attributes. He was able to beat beat
people off the dribble repeatedly. Very impressive.
Most impressive was this: Ford's on the floor and six players score in
double figures for the Bucks. And of course, the Bucks win. :)
