The Pistons haven't played "piston" defense since the year after their
championship.
They aren't shutting teams down, sure as hell didn't put the clamps on
Lebron year before last.

You don't even have a shot blocker, Ben's been gone for what three
seasons? Sheed's not even playing his natural position if he decides to
show up for a game mentally. Kwami plays good position D but isn't a
rejector. Forget about the defensive mind thing....this today is a high
potenial scoring machine with a blend of both western and eastern
features. It can play D in spurts but the true strength is the offense,
These guys should be averaging 110 points a night. Their style has to
change. They should be the first west coast styled team to renovate the
East. Still there is but one competitive team here in the east which is
Boston. WE have more depth than them,,,we could literally run them to
death! Forget about the defense it's not happenin' like that. This is
an offensive attacking team. Oddly the offensive guru is gone,,Flip
Saunders, this team is geared perfect for him. Curry a first year coach
who stresses defense is on the short end and I can't see success
happening for him unless he reads this and it sinks in.

Defense compared to last season with Billups.
And the 4 games with Billups before the trade helps these numbers...

Last year scoring 97.5
This year scoring 95.9 with AIs added offense

Last year gave up 89.9 Rank #1`
This year giving up 95.4 Rank #15

Scoring differential
rank last year #2 at 7.6,
rank this year #14 at 0.5 ppg

Team FGP defense Rank last year #3...this year 19th

Last year .459 to .434 +.025 rank #6
This year .453 to .458 -.005 rank #16

In case you haven't noticed, running teams don't win championships anymore.

The style of defense you were once accustomed to seeing doesn't exist
any longer.

You don't have a force in the middle.

I told you all before that's not Sheed's natural position.

You have to out score your opponents and it shouldn't be a problem with
the weapons on this team.

Last ten games...they have averaged 91 ppg while giving up 96.
They are 4-6 in those games.
Last year they averaged 97.5 ppg and gave up under 90.

Tell that to the Phoenix Suns.

Is there anyone here who thinks A I can't play the game of basketball?

Is there any here who thinks that Billups who never even started in an
All Star game is better than A I?

Is there any here who can't say that Prince, Rip and Iverson should be a
better product and give better numbers in the long haul?

Is there any here who think Curry a first year coach should be in charge
of this much talent?

I think as a team player Billups the Finals MVP is better. One on One I
would go with AI. Bet he would love to trade in all those fan votes in a
popularity contest for the all-star game for a ring and a finals MVP

see above. it is a team sport.

All those veterans are easier to coach as they know the game. 'She3ed
until he ran out of gas was having his best year in a decade.

Your predictions were wrong on Iverson...trying to pass on the blame
does not work anywhere except in your pea brain.

Denver got worse when Iverson arrived. Pistons got worse when Iverson
arrived.
Philly improved when Iverson left, Denver improved when Iverson left.

See a trend there?

Billups got lucky that trophy was gift! And obviously he should not
have been the mvp,,,the missing ingredient has been Ben Wallace, and the
team never enjoyed such success since his departure. Two years with Ben
resulted in a championship and an NBA final appearence,,,without Ben,
nothing, no finals, no championship, no contest.

Nope, unlike the fans voting for the start in all-star games the Finals
MVP is voted on by people who understand basketball.

And yet you use the fan popularity vote for all-star starters as proof
of player prowess.

Pistons haven't played the D since Ben's been gone...

You'll have to score more to win!
