From today's LA Times:
If the Clippers are unable to land Davis, another option may be to
trade guard Cuttino Mobley for the New York Knicks' Jamal Crawford,
according to the source. Maggette has been contacted by several NBA
teams, including the Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics and
Utah Jazz regarding his availability -- according to a source close to
him who requested anonymity because negotiations are still in the
early stages. |

That deal's actually not horrible. Good move for both parties, imo
because he prolly wasn't going to get the same sort of deal next
season.
Maybe they'll want Crawford to put beside him. He's a GREAT fit beside

I'm sure he gave Mullin a chance to do the same thing for him first
and that's what led to it. But I think Golden State comes out
smelling like a rose here. Imagine what's going to happen in
Clipperland if both Baron's back and Elton's ACL give out next year at
the same time, which is hardly that remote a possibility. The icing
on the cake would have them letting Maggette walk...and then sign with
the Lakers and play the 3 after they trade Lamar Odom.

Sweet. Maybe Sterling'll fire Dunleavy too and we can ship out IT to
coach. It'll be a good old fashioned Knicks party out in La-la
land...a bunch of slightly over the hill injury prone vets and a bunch
of guys who play no defense, all signed to max deals.
Clips are going to have to get real, real lucky with health issues.

I've just spent three or four years seeing what happens when a
