Obviously, the most important question is when Chauncey will be
healthy again. Although the Pistons played tough in the third quarter
without him, and it's possible Detroit could still win a series
against Orlando without him, the Pistons obviously need him. We can't
beat Boston or the Cavs without him, and even against the Magic,
Billups posting up their smaller guards is one of our best matchups.

Also, Orlando really can hit lots of threes, and Howard is not going
to be held in check consistently like he was in game 1. -- Joe

Well, they were number one in the league in 3's, that is why I said
they *have* to hit their 3's to advance in the PO's.

Nobody wants to play this team because they are dangerous, and have
been underrated all yr. And obviously, Boston has been overrated, at
least IMO.

James had a *horrible* game 1 and Boston barely squeaked out a win,
what are they gonna do when he plays well?

Personally, I would love to see Boston have their asses handed to them
just because of the cocky Patriots fans. The Patriots losing the Super
Bowl was a glorious day, and the Celtics losing in the PO's with the
best record in the NBA, would be the icing on the cake for me!

Prince did a good job running the point, as did Stuckey when he came back
after the first benching. On the other hand, they miss Billup's care with
the ball -- when he's out, Hamilton's tendency to try to do too much
increases, and the ball movement tends to happen too late in the shot
clock. Detroit's defense of Orlando's 3 point shooting feeds off of their
success on offense. When Detroit turns the ball over or takes wild shots,
Orlando has way too much time to pass the ball outside, in to Howard, and
back out again.

If Billups plays Saturday the injury is bogus.
IT's bogus anyway. The guy was warmed up, had a sweat, ran the length
of the court several times and has trouble doing the splits???
The Temptations do that and they're 60 years old.

BTW we lost against Cleveland last year with Billups. Guess you all
don't recall his giant turnover contribution last post season.

Boston overrated? Have you actually seen any of their games this
season? Did you see any of the 3 against the Pistons?

And James had another horrible game in game 2 and Boston blew them
out.

Not me. I want to see the best versus the best and this is
basketball, not football. Therefore Pistons vs Celtics is the ECF I
want to see. You can take your icing and smear it all over your face
(or ass) if it makes you happy.

They'll do that for sure even though it might mean Hermann and maybe
Johnson will not dress. Given Flip will have a couple of days to set
the offense and defense without Chauncey, I believe the Pistons can
still get a win in Orlando. It won't be easy and guys like Stuckey
and Affalo and especially Hayes are going to have to turn it up a
notch. McDyess and Rasheed both need to be more effective. I realize
playing tough defense on Howard and Lewis may take away from the
offensive game, but without Chauncey they need to make even more of an
effort to be offensively and defensively effective.

I saw them go 7 games with a 8th seeded team with a losing record.

Congrats, on a well earned victory. (and another ECF)

I'm pretty sure you guys will continue to be in the ECF for
many yrs to come, because there is no other team that
can compete with the Pistons for the #1 or #2 spot.

Geesh.... Do not get ahead of yourselves.... that 4th win is the hardest.
3-1 is far from a guarantee and that turn around has happened several times.
'Sheed's last season with the blazers was only the 2nd team in league
history to take an even worse 0-3 deficit to a game 7.
And that game was tied at about 3 minutes to go....

The Pistons have too much PO experience for the Magic, it's over

Give a lot of props to Lindsey as well. His defense and two 3's
turned the tide. Coming back from 15 down and winning this game
without Chauncey has to be a real boost just like in the last round
when they came back against Philly in game 4 and won it and the next
two.

But Turkoglu blew it on the last possession holding the ball as long
as he did. Gave the Piston's a great look and a chance to set their
defense. He could have been called for a charge on McDyess on that
play and had he made it, I'm pretty sure they would have called it.
Anyway, it was a great win and the Palace will be rockin' on Tuesday
night. Let's hope the Magic aren't.
