I was really starting to get down on Garnett last year and was beginning
to form the opinion that he really was over rated. I was BADLY
mistaken. The problem wasn't with Garnett, but the obvious cast of
clowns McHale surrounded him with. My money is on Garnett winning a
championship with Boston, and the Wolves finishing dead last (no
brainier). This just points out how terrible McHale really has operated
as a manager. AND BTW, did anyone catch McHale picking his nose and
slipping his finger in his mouth....classic. >> Stay informed about: Garnett - Showing Some Love |

<grin> And another rouser for the Golfox...although, maybe the
Wolves will find a way to lose at being last, too, though

Ib dat's de nile, dis mu'd be Egypt <rimshot>
There are good GMs and bad GMs. The bad ones usually
don't last too long, even if they're related to the owner -- unless
they hold the negatives to a set of *very* incriminating photos,
or such like. <grin> Maybe the Joe Smith affair was really just
small potatoes. But Occam's Razor tells me that it's Glen
Taylor who is in denial.
<cue F. Scott Fitz> The rich are different from you and me.
<cue Papa Hemingway> Yes, they have more money.
<cue Levi> And they're more comfortable in their denial.
Personally, I invoke the 5th and request a lawyer. >> Stay informed about: Garnett - Showing Some Love |

Because he lives in a comfortable state of denial.

Good observation. It has always appeared to me that Glen
Taylor has some very strong, and perhaps misguided,
allegiances to McHale for some reason that he is just
unwilling to let go of. Even if it means riding the team into
the ground along with those allegiances.
Perhaps this "rebuilding phase" needs to start from the top down,
beginning with new ownership. As much as Taylor seems like a
"good guy", it could be to a fault, and to the detriment to the team.

25 years. By then, Taylor will have figured out what everyone else in
Minnesota knows.
