I am a Knicks fan so I obviously want to trade for Rasheed Wallace,
now I am hearing one report that the Knick talks are dying and that a
deal is close to being done with the Mavericks in a package for Antwan
Jamison

I don't know if I believe this, one of the sticking points in the Van
Horn deal is his contract, well Jamison's contract is worth the guy is
locked up for at least another 5 years at an average of 15 million,
now he is a way better player but I thought Portland wants cap
flexibility

What do you guys think

I think it was Dyess Nash wanted. Another ending contract and talent that
could be re-signed cheap.

I think they are rehashing an old rumor. Mark Cuban absolutely denied that
it was ever on the table.

This was actually an earlier rumor - Wallace and Wells for Jamison and
Finley. But Wells is already gone and Jamison's contract is too big.
Dallas would also have to throw in at least one other player.

I don't think there will be a deal with the Knicks. They don't have
enough left that Portland wants and that would add up to Wallace's salary.
I'm beginning to think it's more likely they will just wait until the
off-season and see if Wallace's agent comes up with a sign-and-trade.

i'm not too high on him coming to portland anyways. If he has any years
left in him, it's no more than a couple effective ones and he won't make us
a contender. Guys like Theo and especially Iggy Pop have many more years
left ... and with our youth developing, we need that kinda time.

Too injury prone. Both of them. And Z has off court issues. I doubt the
Blazers would risk one that has multiple DUIs.

I know he is not much of an offensive threat, but what do you think of
Milwaukee's young center gadzuric?
It is said that he has been improving a lot with added minutes under TP. And
it has been said Nash wants him.

He will be available this summer as a FA. Bucks will be over the cap and can
only use an exception to keep him, 'early bird' that would be at max equal
to the mid level. So he might want to go somewhere else for all or part of
the mid-level where he could be a starter.

Yes but it was reported in one of our local papers yesterday, can't
remember if it was the ny post, ny times, or ny daily news, i agree
with you it does not make sense for the Blazers to take on Jamison's
contract, how about if we gave Frank Williams, Mike Sweetney, Van Horn
to match up the money, and possibly Kurt Thomas, that isn't bad
considering he is a free agent and we could lose him this summer and
you will probably lose him for nothing as well

Mike Rice reported that Nash had talked to vescey (for what it is worth and
what vescey can invent out of the conversation) Rice from what Vescey said
says the talks with the mavs are again going on but that Nash does not like
the added pieces they are offering. He thinks if the mavs continue to
struggle they will panic and make a deal.

He also said the talks with NY are dead.

For what rumors are worth....

He had yet another huge reconstrutive surgey that took a year to get him
back. Perhaps it will hold up for a career now, perhaps not. Too risky.

Been pretty well reported....

Sure payton, malone, Stocton, AC...they were all out a lot....=)

"It has been said that Nash wants him" meant someone else said it, likely
Rice on courtside.

I was asking about him because he might well actually be available.

The latest rumor is apparently Wallace for Jamison and Najera. I still
don't think Portland will go for it, but it would be interesting to see
how the fans in Dallas would react to a trade like that.

I would be very surprised if Portland takes Van Horn.

They would likely hate it.
I have my doubts portland would want to tie up from 15 to 20 mil in those
two players for the next 5 seasons. But talent wise it is not a bad deal.

Bud is doing good, he got back into the stock game during the Nasdaq
bubble of the late 90's, this time he avoided the SEC, I think he is
hanging low right now, waiting for the next uptick, he told me he
believes this year could be another springboard year,

I do know that his number one holding is IDCC in fact I can tell you
