Speculation is not evidence. His teammates and the trainer say he is hurt.

You're giving Iggy a bad rap. His injuries were all pre-2001. He played 62
games injury free in the 2001-2002 season. The team said coming into the
2002-2003 season that he managed to keep himself injury free the season
prior.
That means for essentially 2 full playing seasons now, he's had no problems
with the feet. He hasn't missed any games b/c of the feet. So it's not
just a string of about 120 games in which he's stayed healthy, it's more
like 180.
Also, I think the doctor's order you heard for him to play under 30 minutes
a night has to be old. Maybe 2 years old. Because he averaged 30 a night
last year, played over 30 minutes about 1/2 the games he played in, and
that's been the same case this year.
He hasn't shown any ill effects.
I don't think he's as much of a risk as you make him out to be.

62 games... he played 20 minutes per with an 11 million buck salary. So he
missed 20 games because he was suspended if it was an "injury free" season?

Except for the pain he says he is still plays in...
>

His feet were not made for the stress of basketball, they are held together
with so many pins he likely sets off metal detectors...Perhaps he will have
a full career now on them from the last major reconstruction. For his sake I
hope so, he has gone though hell to keep playing. But if I was a GM I would
not risk tying up 28 million in cap the next two seasons and pay another
13.5 million in luxury tax this year (and perhaps 14.6 next year) on that
risk. If he was on an ending contract or on an average contract it would be
different.
If I was the Portland GM, with his job current description for trades, I
would not risk that Z being found driving drunk around Portland either...

He may never make it to the NBA, but if he does the Blazers own his rights.
I could not find where, or if, he is playing this year. Telebasket does not
even list him and they have most of the world's players in the superguide,
so it may already be a dead issue.

Did you see Nelson today against Xavier? It was on espn. If you haven't
seen him play, you should try sometime. PG for St. Joseph's. He's small,
and reminds me a lot of Iverson. Creates off the dribble, cuts through
defenses, can make the 3 ball (even with guys in his face), passes good,
playmaker. Throws up some stupid shots like Iverson as well, but St. Joe's
is ranked 6th in the nation, in large part to Nelson and their back court.
The other man in the backcourt (West) was perfect from the floor today and
had 33 points. Nelson had 28 pts. They both had 2 steals, 8 combined
boards, and 3 combined assists. They pretty much tookover in the 2nd half
(when they were trailing by 6) and won by 8.
The big problem is that they're a mid-major and don't have an overwhelming
schedule. They're undefeated on the year and the best teams they've beat
are Gonzaga, BC, Penn, Cal, and Xavier (today). Their tougher games
remaining are URI twice, Dayton, and Villanova (probably their toughest
non-conference game). If they lose any of those, their rank and RPI will
drop, but they're going to the dance (barring a major collapse). >> Stay informed about: Hey Blazers Fans What Do You Think About These Trade Rumors |

I shall try. Post it if you see a game is being telecast, I do not watch
much college ball.

His FGP is pretty good this year. nbadraft.net mock draft currently has him
predicted going at 12th.

Totally subjective. ...=)
I love an old article called draft 101. I will see if I can find it and post
