So as long as I say "All blacks are stupid niggers that shouldn't have
any rights to anything but to be my slaves", it'd ok with them? You

I got fired, back in the civilized early 80s, and on my last day I was
the last one to leave the building, having to finish up removing my
login from the computer and other housecleaning, and nobody thought
anything of it back then.

Some years later it became escort from the building under guard; I
guess WFAN figures that if he's on the radio, he'll steal the silverware.

I'd have fired him and let him do the show. Always give a man a chance
to display good character. How can radio station managers not know that.

Way back when he started syndicating, there'd be an occasional new
station, and Imus had a standing offer to let the former host of the
morning show on to say goodbye if he wanted, just as a courtesy ; a
hatred of radio station management that was a theme for all 30 years.
The morning guy found out about it just after his last show, invariably.

Well, you answered your own question (in a fashion) and they don't like the

Micheal Irvin. While he wasn't dumn enough to use the phrase he
pretty much implied "Nigger in the Woodpile" about Tony Romo.

Then quite frankly, the only ones who have the right to be
affended are the Rutgers players then. Everyone else is just
soapbox jumping.

Irrelevent. If persons unaffiliated with Rutgers can get offended
by Imus, I can get offended by Irvin.

I don't get it.

They weren't public figures, yet everybody knew who he was talking
about - unlike somebody that isn't a public figure?

Ohhhh, I see. If I insult 5-10 people it's okay if an entire race
pretends to be offended. But if I insult an entire race, nobody
should be offended.

No, he implied that the only way Romo could be as athletic as he was
is if he has a little bit of another race in him.

What would the outcry be if the something similar were said of, say,
a black swimmer? I tell you heads would roll.
