I'm not sold on Jerm-O, but he's more than I thought the Raps would have
been able to get for Ford. I think O'Neal could develop a better attitude
here, as he would be surrounded by more talent and better fans here than he
had in Indiana the last few seasons.

He will also bring more attitude and toughness to the frontcourt, which
we have all been crying for.

Awesome. I figure he's got some game left. He was a late bloomer coming to
the NBA straight out of high school in McGrady's year I think so he's only
McGrady's age. A change of scenery usually lights a fire under a player and
a contract year REALLY lights a fire under a player so we should see the
best of JO.

Imagine if we had Roy instead of Bargs... Wow... We wouldn't be talking
about desperately needing a 2/3 player. Oh well, I guess Moon and AP will
have to do.

Well, O'Neal says he was traded, and seems happy about it:

JO's injury risk is not quite as serious as TJ's, IMO, and if he plays
mostly center, which seems to be the plan, than that should make the team a
lot better. Bargnani may be a short-term loser in this deal, but this may
also give him the space to develop into a started by the time JO's contract
is done.

If O'Neal is healthy, starting with Bosh, that could be very effective.

Our starting SF is still Jamario Moon though, and while Moon is nice
player, he should not be starting on an NBA team.

I was really hoping for Maggette, Bargs/Rasho+Maggette+Bosh would be better
than O'Neal+Moon+Bosh. But I guess Maggette was always a pipe dream.

So what's our best hope for a new SF now?

AP is our shooting guard. Moon and Kapono are our small forwards.

Is everyone forgetting that Kapono averaged 15.6 ppg during the
playoffs?
