It's not specifically "black culture," but the culture of the poor. Go
work in the inner city of Detroit for an extended period of time and
you'll be whistling a different. If Artest wasn't playing basketball
there is an excellent chance he'd be in prison.

Maybe he'd be, and probably on a ridiculous charge like possession of a
quarter ounce of weed. This happens to millions of Americans (I remember
reading 1 million for weed alone), and a huge majority of these people are
not white, and not rich.
So are the poors socially bound to be criminals? Or is it because the police
are only looking for criminals in the inner cities? >> Stay informed about: Jermaine O'Neal blames racism again |

With his temper it most likely would be some sort of murder charge.
>
>So are the poors socially bound to be criminals?
Yes the poor are more apt to commit criminal acts than say someone
that is middle class. The poor are more prone to commit criminal acts
the involve violence too. Just the other day three black kids (15,16
and 17 year old from Detroit) held-up a local party store in
Southfield, MI.Southfield is what most would consider a middle class
suburb of Detroit with a diverse ethnic base that is majority Black.
Will the owner gave them the money, but they accuse him of not giving
them all and threatened to kill him and a customer. The owner then
preceded to blow the seventeen year old away. Unfortunately was able
to blow the other two away.

Crime is everywhere, but you don't even have to look for it to find it
in the inner city. This is from someone that stuck up four times.

A valid point, but lots of folks were blaming "black culture," not the
culture of the poor, so O'Neal still had a valid point too.

NBC is mostly owned by GE (which apparently you didn't know, or are confused
about?). Brian Williams works for NBC, therefore GE. GE (according to
another poster) is in ca-hoots with the military (in a sense). So Brian
Williams (who works for NBC and GE) agreeing with Limbaugh (or his parent
company? or the name of this show? I don't know) doesn't really prove
anything.
Why are you insisting that someone is denying who Brian Williams is or who
he works for?

How huge? It he was so huge why wasn't he on the air during "normal"
hours. I don't believe his program was even broadcast here (Detroit)
which is a major market. BTW what exactly did Limbaugh say and what
wasn't valid?

That NBC's nightly anchor man both listens to and believes Limbaugh
doesn't get the credit he deserves. If someone like as mainstream as
Williams thinks this it goes to reason that Limbaugh's audience is
made up of not just a bunch of right wing yahoos.
BTW why do you edit without acknowledging it? >> Stay informed about: Jermaine O'Neal blames racism again |

There is a difference between working in Detroit and working in
Detroit where you have actually gone into peoples houses everyday. I
bet you haven't while I have. The area I worked from 1976 - 1977 was
Oakland and Holbrook. It was the area where many of Motown's singers
came from. Levi Stubbs talking about it in the 50s described it as a
bad area. In the 80s it had the contained the seven busiest drug
corners. I've been in the Brewster projects that you've only seen from
the expressway. I knew was a friend of sorts with Donald Murphy who
turned out to be a serial prostitute killer in the early 80s. I can go
on if you'd like, but I think I have a tad more insight about the
inner city poor than most.

I never said that. I asked a simple question if, I believe it was you,
if Brian Williams was an idiot. To which your reply was something
about GE supplying the war machine. So again I ask is Brian Williams
an idiot? >> Stay informed about: Jermaine O'Neal blames racism again |

in the manner that he might think that Limbaugh is a great source of
information, than yes. he is an idiot.
