It would seem to me that the Detroit debacle would be the perfect opening
for KG to make an exit to another team that would clearly need his services
to compete with the best of the best. Depending on who would end up traded
to Minny, I'd think the team would likely be better with KG than Ben
(already gone) and one of their other primo talents (I'd guess Rip or
Prince) once other personnel were in place.

Obviously trades like this are rare and hard to come by, but it might be the
perfect opportunity for Kevin to get a well-deserved ring, albeit at the
cost of Minnesota losing its superstar. And it would also take more work as
McDyess can't handle the center position all by himself and neither Rip nor
Prince would have the salary needed to balance the trade.

If Minnesota could get a top-flight young talent out of the deal like
Prince, would you think it would be worth trading away The Franchise?

The only trade I've heard that makes sense from the Wolves standout it,
Ben Gordon,
Kirk Hinrich, and Tyrus Thomas for KG, and one of the Wolves large
contract Duds.
Or two.

It would take more than Prince. Even Prince and Hamilton probably
would not be enough, as neither is a guy you can build around. The
Chicago rumors are the best so far. Thomas and Gordon are two young
talents and next year's draft is going to be a good one.

So, now we're top-posting...(fine with me)...

An interesting tidbit was something I read recently by a
Boston reporter who said that his "old friend" Kevin McHale
said he wasn't going to trade KG *this year* (emphasis mine).

Krush is right in that Prince *and* Hamilton are not franchise
cornerstones worthy of a KG trade. Nor does KG fill B.Wallace's
position.

I haven't looked at next year's draft, but don't the Wolves have
a couple of picks they must give up?

If memory serves me, the Wolves pick is protected if it's a top 10
pick. If not, it goes to the Clippers.

I think it stays that way till 2011. So 2011 would be a good time to
finish at the top, and keep Clipper Karma consistent.

Alliteration is a disorder, and diserves a telethon.
