McGrady is now 0-5 lifetime in the first round, Yao 0-2. But the team's two
best players will be just 26 and 25 years old, respectively, next season.
Houston will build a better supporting cast and the coaching staff would
like to add a physical power forward to complement Yao. There are already
rumors that Jason Kidd may try to force a trade to Houston.

Yeah, they need another guard, since they have 5 of them.

Disaster! What can be done?

Well, naturally. The best player on New Jersey is a no-defense shooting
guard who's admitted to the press that he doesn't always try his
hardest, and the second-best player's an over-the-hill wifebeating
chronic malcontent with creaky knees. And New Jersey's like one big
ugly oil refinery, to boot. No wonder Kidd wants to get out!

Wow, that would be disasterous. And exactly what leverage does Kidd
believe he has? The funny thing about him is that he has been trying
to throw his weight around NJ since the day after he signed his
contract, but he really doesn't have any weight to thorw around.

Kidd is a loser.

It might be nice to have a *GOOD* one. I mean, Mike James and Jon Barry
and Bob Sura are all really good BACKUPS.

Gotta love ball news out of NYC.
It never makes sense, and generally involves beating up Jersey.

is there even a trade scenario that makes sense for NJ here?
theyre gonna get back, what, wesley, sura, and weatherspoon in the deal?
without getting tmac or yao, NJ is gonna be stuck with tablescraps to make
salaries match.

Yeah, one of those old arguments, like "So's your mother" or "I know you
are, but what am I?".

And POINT guard, not shooting guard.
