I might give it 10 seconds....

The cap could be worked in a package without giving up anything else of great BBall value if Kobe
greatly desired to come to portland...... Kobe has a no-trade clause so would not except the trade
without keeping the best core players. (most likely not even then)
So Portland could say unload 2 of the garbage contracts with Oden, make it Raef, Miles, Webster and
Jones ending contract for Kobe and Bynum... (Jim Buss thinks Bynum is Oden anyway, another reason
this never happens) .... ...most likely it would be mutual rejection, Kobe has a no-trade clause and
can pick the team. Lakers would be nuts to trade him to the west so the Bulls would be most likely
if he is actually traded.
But IMO he is not getting a trade this summer while he is ranting and killing what they would get
back, they have a year and a half before it gets to 'something or nothing' time.
For speculation sake (since it is not happening) what about adding Kobe if keeping both the core
(except Zach) and keep Oden? Say Zach, Martell, Freddy's ending contract, Sergio and a future pick
for Kobe?
Or is this no to the Kobe idea period? This would be the wants another title Kobe not the playing
for a scoring title version...
Starting would be Jack, Roy, Kobe at the 3, LA and Oden
Or could be a Roy and Kobe backcourt, Ime or Travis, LA, and Oden
