Except, if you were guaranteed to be a WNBA coach for life, would you
risk it for the year or two that you'd have an NBA team still at its
peak (not to mention that they'd also have to spend time adjusting to
you), only to have the team fall apart at the end leaving the coach
vulnerable to being swept out-- especially if they couldn't get the
ring that time?

If #40 can get the job he wants, he should look for something with
long term coaching prospects. Right now, that's WNBA.

Remysun says the Pistons are near the end of their dominance. I agree
that window is smaller but not closed. Why put another coach in there
with no experience when the team has a legit chance at winning it all?
If you want to see Curry coach then put his ass in Tennesee, not Detroit
where the talent is blessed. Laimbeer deserves a shot at the title run
and he's the only available candidate that could pull it off! Laimbeer
would give this team a legit chance at elevating itself above and beyond
those past season expectations. This guy is the only man out there with
a win or die attitude.

Curry will use these words. "I'm gaining experience as I go along."
Cop out! Translation , wait for another season. This team doesn't have
that kind of time.

Laimbeer has less NBA coaching experience than Curry. He would even have
more on the job training. Coaching women doesn't count.

Laimbeer's coaching experience with women is iffy. The Shock didn't
become consistent until the arrival of Mahorn who is the one that
actually works with the players. Mahorn is more deserving than
Laimbeer.

It's not against women but coaching in the WNBA is so much different than
coaching men. I just meant it doesn't really count as NBA coaching
experience.

I was joking that the Shock brawl made it to NPR.

The East isn't a cake walk this year.

Boston is legit and could repeat. Also they shored up tv ratings last
season (very important).

Cleveland is adjusting and even once lowly Phili' will rise just looking
at its new roster.
