Artest is nothing like Rodman. They're two completely different players
and men. Check Artest's stats last season and then think about the D he
brings. This is a no-brainer trade and the Lakers will take it if Sacto
is willing to part with Ron. There's no two ways about it. Thankfully,
Laker management won't be running the team on misguided emotion. Odom
out, Artest in = championship.

He pretty much has behaved himself in Cow Town (something I didn't
think he would do) but would the Bright Lights/Big City do him in?
But it is all moot - he didn't opt out and the Kings would rather die
than trade anything to the Lakers unless it was so lopsided they
couldn't pass it up (like Butler for Kwame). >> Stay informed about: No, thank you. The Lakers don't need that. |

We don't need this guy in the locker room messing up the team
chemistry. What a huge mistake this would be. >> Stay informed about: No, thank you. The Lakers don't need that. |

Who gives a damn about popularity contests. Do you want players that
are likeable and maintain goofy smiles (generally after making a
totally bonehead play), or players that will help you win titles? >> Stay informed about: No, thank you. The Lakers don't need that. |

uh, how many titles has artest won? remember, he had a decent shot in
indy - until he decided to go into the stands and beat up the wrong
guy, getting suspended and destroying the pacers' chances of winning.
like i said, as a celtics fan, i *love* this trade. please do it,
mitch! >> Stay informed about: No, thank you. The Lakers don't need that. |

Yeah, that's the thing. They'd have to see Odom in a different light
than I see him in, and I'm not sure they are that stupid. But, if they
wanted to do the trade, there's no doubt that Mitch would pull the
trigger IMO.

So when Sacha and Ronny are gone, who should we bring in for team
chemistry there? Fact is, Artest fits this team better than Odom, and
everything else about him as far as how he would affect morale is pure
speculation. He's very good friends with Lamar Odom and lesser so with
Kobe. If they like the guy, what does that say about them based on your
criteria?

Artest would completely manhandle Pierce. You don't want that trade.
