Archived from groups: rec>sport>basketball>women (more info?)

I saw in the paper today that in 2004, the Liberty will be playing part of its
home schedule at Radio City Music Hall because Madison Square Garden will need
time to be converted into the site of the Republican national convention.
(Radio City, like the Garden, is owned by Cablevision.)

Anyone here know more about this?

During the 2000 WNBA Season, The Sparks remained in the Great Western Forum
in Inglewood after the Lakers and Kings had already moved to Staples Arena
because the Democratic Party was holding its' National Convention at Staples
Arena.
