I'll say this though.. despite all the regression our team has had
this year, even if we end up playing Detroit in the second round, it's
still the second round. Making it there would deem this season a
success. Anything less and this year was a waste of time and money.
Nothing got better this year. Something has to give or someone has to
go. >> Stay informed about: Limping to the post-season. |

I think you're wrong man.. I don't think we can scrape a single game
out of Detroit. They're too good. TOO TOO GOOD. >> Stay informed about: Limping to the post-season. |

I well recall the pundits saying Boston would be life & death to make
the playoffs. Seems like just yesterday.
Well, if we have the Magic's number anywhere, it's at point guard. Now
we are about to find out if all the drama has been worth it. >> Stay informed about: Limping to the post-season. |

There is something that stands out in flashing neon light. A huge

happen. >> Stay informed about: Limping to the post-season. |

I don't see what the point is. Even if we beat Orlando, and it's a good
chance...we get swept by Detroit. Well, we MIGHT scrape one game out of it.

Oh, I quite agree, as said a couple of posts up. We are nowhere near
competetive for the conference. Not even close. So I too don't see the
point. But I disagree about having a good chance against the Magic. I
see the first game as crucial. The Raptors have to take the home court
away from Orlando. If they go down in the first game, the rest becomes
moot. And I don't see us taking a single game from Detroit, should the

Not cutting Martin sooner?
Not trading Bosh?
Not trading TJ?
Not signing...OK, OK. I won't. But at the Nets game, I did.

Yea, well Sam's been as bad as any year, only this year he won't take
home COY so he's more fire-able. >> Stay informed about: Limping to the post-season. |

No, I think he was driving at the drafting of Bargnani.
But what truly sucks about this team is coaching. Too many times
we've been outcoached by a better coach with a less talented roster.
This team with a good coach would be far better off. For one thing,
Kapono would have designed plays. This guy is too good of a shooter
to be getting 1 3 point opportunity every 10-15 games. It's
ridiculous. Sam's given Parker the MoPete wait-in-the-corner-to-catch-
and-shoot play, instead of the best shooter in the league.
Another thing is Jamario Moon getting way too much playing time. This
guy broke Damon Stoudamire's record for most starts by a Raptor
rookie. This alone should be grounds for Mitchell's dismissal.
Where is Maceo Baston in all of this. At the start of the season we
recognized not having enough toughness. They said let's get our
younger guys a chance, we already know what Baston can do. Yet we
finished the year and he hasn't played at all. >> Stay informed about: Limping to the post-season. |

I'm a decent player, but I don't think I could have helped things this
season.
