Check out all of Mikes acquisitions:

Larry Hughes
Ethan Thomas
Jared Jeffries
Brendon Haywood
Jwan Dixon

Jerry StackHouse that became Antawn Jamison

The only acquisition from the new regime (albeit a good one) is
Gilbert Arenas.

MJ deserves much of the credit.

Most. And they were more talented BEFORE the Jamison trade.

Hmm... More talented, but something clicked with the arrival of Jamison.
I'm not gonna buy any talk that it's just players all maturing at the same
time. Jamison has more of an influence on the team than you might think as
far as chemistry and getting along in the locker room and on the road
together.

I've got to stop picking on the Wizards.

A lot of things came together this season for the Wiz, but Jamison is
definitely a big factor. Talent wise, Stackhouse was just as good as
Jamison but Jamison has a much better attitude and is a good locker room
guy. He'll say the right things and try and do the right things. He is
not an ego trip like Stackhouse was and work with almost anybody. I think
its his attitude that really help bring together the "maturity" of other players.

Imagine Stackhouse still with the Wizards, do you think they would be in
the playoffs? Doubt it! Stackhouse is a selfish player and does not make a
team better. The Pistons won 50 games 3 years ago with less of Stackhouse
and got even better after trading him.

Also, Jamison can score inside (and outside) which is what Wiz missed last
year. He is a very opportunistic player, he is not a super post up player
but he does have the money quick release.

One thing about Jamsion though is that he is NOT a clutch player. Thank
God for Gilbert!
