It's interesting to watch the rivalry between the media that follow
the Celtics and Bruins. The Celtics played their first game in
Oklahoma yesterday. I watch NESN Sportsdesk in the morning while
getting ready, to catch up, gaze at Kathryn Tappen, and hope for some
Heidi Whatney (like Saturday when she was in her Halloween "Jessica
Simpson" costume.... mmmmm....). So today I turned it on figuring
that the first story would be the Celtics game last night, since I
didn't watch it.

Instead, the first 12 minutes were, literally, a commercial for the
Bruins. How good they were, how tough they were, how great it was
that they got in fights because they always win, etc, etc. They
didn't play a game last night, so no score or highlghts or anything.
Just plugs for how good they were.

Then we got a brief Patriots update, then a brief Sox update, and
then, finally, the Celtics. There was no doubt that the organization
of the show tried to make the Celtics -- the only local team that
actually played a game yesterday -- the least important sports story
of the morning.
