How are Zach and Screech? No, wait that's not the point of this post.

Just wanted to let you know I'm preparing my rhetorical questions. You can
look for them Wed. afternoon when the series is tied 2-2.

Hanging out with Christian and Helen? And is your last name really
"cat"?

Of course I was expecting to hear from you today, and I know I will
hear from you if the Nets win game 4. I will only say the following.
Jefferson had an outstanding game--career high in points, at least for
a playoff, right? Hat's off to him. Meanwhile, basically everyone on
the Pistons except Wallace had a bad night. I said after game 1 that
Jefferson wouldn't continue to shoot 1-12, and I'll say now that
Jefferson won't continue to score 30 a game. On the other hand, I'm
beginning to think that Kidd won't have a decent shooting night in
this series. I also said after game 2 that I didn't think the Pistons
would sweep, but they would win the series, and I'm sticking to that.

Maybe the Pistons should have intentionally fouled in the last minute
or two to get to 70 points. But congrats: now NJ has done as well as
Milwaukee did.--Joe

Your life won't be complete unless Dee-trit wins the series.

Just for the record, another Dee-trit fan, a-hol-e, claims I only show up
when the NETS win. Well for 14 games prior to this series, that was
definitely true.

I will only say the following.

This could turn into the classic home-and-home series decided by a
knock-down, drag-em-out seventh game.

Puh-leeze. You're not going to seriously compare the NETS to the lowly bucks
(home of softie NET-castoff KVH), are you?

Remember, in order to defeat the Dragon, you must slay the Dragon. The
Dragon is still EC champ and won't go down without a serious fight.

Anyone really expect Prince AND Billups to have 2 bad games in a row?

Granted, Nets fans pray that will happen, but in this series the only
one whose proven capable of repeating a lousy performance is Kidd.

Not me. A Nets fan might say that this was all due to the brilliant
coaching move of Franks switching defensive assignments on Billups,
but I doubt it. As Pistons fans know, although we don't have any
offensive "superstars," we have a lot of players that can be good
scorers. We don't always know who is going to step up and score, but
it's rare that nobody does. Unfortunately, Sunday was one of those
rare games.

Well, I was half-right; Kidd did have repeated bad games (before game
4), but now a few Pistons can say that too. The bottom line, however,
is that game 4 means that it's a real series.--Joe
