Up to this point, no one thought the team would have a deep enough
bench to go far into the season. But they've proven me and a lot of
other people wrong. They did pretty well without Garnett. Their
bench has stepped up in a big way this season.
Personally I love what they've done. It doesn't feel the same was as
it did with the Lakers where they picked up some guys for a "last
hurrah" type of thing. Cassell still has a lot of game left. PJ
Brown.. I couldn't care less about. He'll play a minor role in the
end of things.
Also, all these guys they're signing at the last minute are role
players. When the Lakers picked up Payton and Malone, these guys were
future hall-of-famers and they were boasting about this. Whereas
Boston is just adding final pieces.
Bah, I dunno.
