That's BS. His teams are famous for no defense, just run up and down the
court, try to outscore the opposition...check out the Denver Nuggetts when
he was coach. Skiles set the assist record against them, they played such
good defense :-( Bringing him in to a team already poor on defense was
stupid, another dumb move by this teams management. Look at all the 60 pt
half this team gives up since he got here. This team needs a Pat Riley type
coach, who takes no bull and has a team that does the same. This team needs
to work to get open shots, play tough defense and knock people down a few
times just to let them know that that they are there. THe Magic's inability
to get a half court play to work showed up really bad against the Lakers and
is one reason why they can't hold leads in the 4th quarter. When the other
team gets seriuos about their defense, gets back quick, etc the Magic are
dead. And Westhead is very much at fault.
