Okay Gran I went ahead and registered us.
Here's the deal. I went with what's worked in the past for
the league name so go to Yahoo NBA Fantasy Home and
go for the join existing league option. When-or-how ever
prompted enter the league number which is 31208, league
name if they ask, and then the password which is paxisgod
From there register your team as your heart so desires.
Things are mostly the same but since I couldn't recall
every detail of every discussion since last season ended
I made some executive decisions:
The draft will be Wed, Oct. 26 at 7:30 pm. Its online like
last year but I think only two or three of us actually were online
for the thing. You can just rate your players and let Yahoo do
the picking. If you did that last year you beat me. Hell, if you
did anything last year you beat me.
Trades will take one day to process but I retained the league vote.
If nobody votes I think the trade goes through anyway. Just
a fail safe should anything really stink. Trade deadline is March
2, 2006 so mark your calender.
***THIS IS A CHANGE*** Or at least I think it is......
Right now I have opted for no waivers. I've done this in other
leagues in the past and it makes things first come first serve.
Let me know what you think. I personally like it but I realize
it may not be everyone's cup o' tea.
There is a "Can't Cut List" provided by Yahoo and I opted for that.
We can call it the redrum clause. Im seeing lots of fantasy sites offer
this now. It isn't perfect. Players who come out of nowhere often aren't
on it and some veterans who are well past their prime remain on it. I don't
want to struggle with updating a list all year so Im content to live under
the
impefect protection Yahoo's list provides.
Roster is the same and so is scoring but I'll list the categories for
a reminder:
FG%
FT%
3pts made
PTS
REB
AST
STL
BLK
TO
There are quite a few other availabe options like defensive or offensive
rebounding
a/to ratio, minutes played and even flagrant fouls. If we get a large
amount of
teams I might consider adding a few reasonable categories to increast the
scoring
potential across the board but not getting to gimmicky.
There it is. I am seriously going to break 40 pts this year so get ready
