Jennifer Fleischer led the Quakers on the boards with seven rebounds
against Colorado.

Boulder, Colo. - The Quakers will face No. 22 Maryland in the consolation
final of the University of Colorado Coors Classic after the Buffaloes
defeated the Red and Blue, 69-49, at the Coors Event Center on Nov. 26. Cat
Makarewich led Penn with nine points, shooting 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.

The Quakers (2-1) opened the contest against Colorado with a Karen Habrukowich
three pointer and led 5-2 with 15:53 remaining in the first half on another
field goal by the senior from Newtown, Pa. The Buffaloes (2-1) took their
first lead of the game on a Leslie Howard trey to go up 8-5 at the 14-minute
mark and Colorado did no look back, taking a five point, 29-24, lead in the
locker room thanks in part to a 7-0 run late in the half after Penn had pulled
to within one, 18-17, on a Jennifer Fleischer lay up. Howard ended the game
leading all scorers with a career-high 14 points and also finished with a
career-high eight boards.

Colorado showed the hot hand in the second half, opening on an 11-4 run and
shooting 59.3 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from downtown for the
second half.

Makarewich continued her hot shooting from outside, hitting 3-of-5 three-point
attempts to lead the Quakers offense. Monica Naltner led Penn in the first
half with seven points on 3-of-5 shooting from the field. Fleischer paced the
Red and Blue on the boards, hauling in seven caroms.

Penn faces No. 22 Maryland in tomorrow's consolation final of the Coors
Classic. The Terrapins fell, 64-51, to No. 2 LSU in the first game of the
evening. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. (MST).
