Karen Habrukowich's 16 points against Brown gives her 1,116 for
her career, ranking her seventh on Penn's all-time scoring list.

Philadelphia - Jennifer Fleischer registered her ninth
double-double of the season with 17 points (5-of-11) and 17
rebounds but it was not enough as Brown used a 21-point run
for the 76-69 win at The Palestra on Friday, splitting the
season series with the Quakers. Penn (12-9, 5-3 Ivy) came
out with guns blazing, scoring 39 first-half points to take
a six-point lead over the Bears (15-7, 7-2 Ivy) into the
locker room. It was the most points the Red and Blue had
scored in the first half all season and was eight points
from matching their point total in the Red and Blue's 47-43
victory at Brown on Jan. 29.

Fleischer scored 10 of her team-high 17 points in the first
frame, while also hauling in eight rebounds. At one point,
Penn stretched the gap to 12 points when Karen Habrukowich
hit one of her four treys to give the Quakers a 37-25
advantage with 3:16 to go before the break. Habrukowich
finished the game with 16 points and now stands in seventh
position on Penn's all-time scoring list with 1,116 career
points.

Penn started the second half hitting from outside as
three-pointers by Habrukowich and Cat Makarewich gave the
Quakers a 12-point edge at 45-33 with 17:41 on the clock.
It was Makarewich's third trifecta of the night as the senior
finished with 11 points. The next five minutes, 43 seconds
belonged to Brown as the Bears scored 21-straight points,
while Penn was held scoreless over the same span of time.
When the dust settled, Brown led 54-45. Penn's next bucket
came at the 11:56 on the clock as Habrukowich hit a trey to
make the score, 54-48.

Brown took its first lead of the second half at 47-45 with
14:23 on the clock. Andrea Conrad, who finished with 14 points
on 6-of-10 shooting, scored on a lay up to give the Bears a lead
they would not relinquish. Sarah Hayes stretched Brown's lead
to 13 points, 64-51, on a pair of free throws. Despite shooting
only 5-for-13 from the field, Hayes dropped in a game-high 23
points, hitting 12-of-13 free-throw attempts. Holly Robertson
also finished in double figures, scoring 20 points on 6-of-14
shooting, 16 of which came in the first half. Her presence
sparked Brown's advantage down low as the Bears outscored Penn
34-16 in the paint.

Penn will look to bounce back on Saturday when Yale, who suffered
a 75-49 loss at Princeton on Friday night, comes to The Palestra.
The game, which will also celebrate National Girls and Women in
Sports Day, tips off at 7 p.m.
