Second quarter the Celtics scored 30, Pistons 10.

It appears the Pistons' defense and a lot of their scoring left town
with Chauncey. Iverson's 4 turnovers didn't help either. If not for
Prince and Will Bynum in the 4th, the game would have been more of a
blowout for the Celtics.

Of course some (we know who) will say it is all Coach Curry's fault.

It's really too bad this match up happened so soon after Mr. Iversons
arrival.
It will take a while for the Pistons unit to gel. You haven't just changed
players, you have taken away a play-making member. The rest of the unit will
have to adjust to AI's timing.
We will see.

Pistons bench scored 10 points in the second quarter. Curry, the first
few games weren't against any team of worth. He could play 11 deep and
get away with it. You can't do that against the likes of Boston.

Also Rip 0 for 8, Sheed 4 for 14 didn't help the cause either.

People keep saying it will take some time to adjust, that's nonsense,
players can develop that as a crutch not to succeed. IT's basketball not
rocket science.

Boston is a strong team and you don't make massive three men
substitutions at a time.
Relief is one man at a time.

Iverson is guilty of trying to fit into this team which isn't nessessary
being that they've had no success lately. He needs to play the game
he's capable of and let the others follow his flow. An up tempo
non-confining offense with other players benefitting off his
penetration.
Right now others are standing around waiting for him to do his thing,
let's get started!

last week you said their bench was the best in the league...how could
that happen?

The game plan...give the ball to iverson and have him drive into the
middle and let boston collapse the defense on him and him get stripped
or try to put up the bad shot... that was the 2nd quarter for about 5
strait plays...
Everyone else stood and watched, no reason to get open as they know it
is not coming back out of the black hole... and do not run screens for
rip...

>People keep saying it will take some time to adjust, that's nonsense,

So they are not going to improve...great...good thing that like your
'they will not lose any games' it is dumb...

ECF whoop di do! There wasn't an opponent in the East the last five
years! You lost to the likes of Cleveland!!! Face it the fabulous five
once said to be the best five starters in the league failed to capture
another title.

The game plane? GIve the rock to A I? Who said that?

Iverson's played with complete control and has tried to fit in. He
NEEDS to just play his game and let the others feed of his flow! The
style the Pistons were acustomed too and did NOT win any championship
with the last three attempts is a past mode of play. Iverson brings a
new raw up tempo style which should blow the East away. The team needs
to simply catch up to him, Stucky's ready, Prince is ready....Rip and
Sheed are not! They all might be waiting a return of McDyss as well.

Celtics vs Pistons Game 3 - Deja Vu all over again. This game looked too much like Game 1 in Boston. Chauncey ineffective, Tayshaun and McDyess nowhere to be found. The whole team was MIA in the first half. Second half, Pistons outscored Boston 48-44 and the Piston bench for th...
