I agree with everything you said. Unfortunately, google groups hasn't
shown any new posts for 24 hours. Anyway, Hill said Howard was sick.
Which may be true, or may be a coach protecting a young player who
might have some confidence problems after his FT shooting problems in
game 1. Either way, Detroit should count on a more aggressive Howard
in game 3. I hope we get a less accurate Hedo T. -- give the man
props for an excellent game 2, though.
I also was hoping/assuming Detroit's bench would play more in this
series, and I'm especially alarmed by Rip and Chauncey playing 40+
minutes each in both the first two games. I thought that a healthy
Lindsey and an often-productive Flip M. would prevent that, at least
against the Magic. Oh well, playing 4 games instead of 6 is another
way to cut minutes.
Meanwhile, Chicago looked scary-good against Miami last night. I
wouldn't count the Heat out -- they did lose their first two games to
Dallas in the Finals last year -- but they sure need to win Game 3.
Since I would like the Heat/Bulls series to go as long as possible,
should I . . . ugh . . . root for Miami in game 3? And the Pistons
will have to play better than they've played against Orlando to beat
the Bulls. Which they can -- I would just like to see them play that
way sooner rather than later.--Joe
