Ron Artest did not give security any opportunity to handle the unruly fan.
He lunged into the stands creating a riot. Nobody could prevent someone
from throwing a plastic cup. Had Ron Artest simply pointed to the offending
individual, security would have grabbed him promptly and there would have
been no situation. Artest instead chose to charge and in doing so,
endangered himself, his teammates, and his organization. I feel no mercy
for the fans that were involved. If you throw something at a man twice your
size, you should be prepared for the consequences. No lawsuits should be
heard on the mess as it is doubtful anyone involved was blameless but never
forget the riot was caused by Artest.
