Meanwhile, Eddy Curry, who has been Jeffries' tag-team partner on the
injury list all season, spent Thursday's practice on an exercise bike. A
bacterial infection kept him out of training camp, and a bruised right
knee has troubled him ever since.

"I'm looking forward to having him back," D'Antoni said. "I think he'll
be super."

Earlier in the season, D'Antoni did not include the 7-foot Curry in his
plans and questioned his ability to reach full fitness. Perhaps there
was a little spirit of the season left in him, after all.

Curry, brought in by the keen talent-catching eye of Isiah Lord Thomas III,
was the franchise player, the Baby Shaq, the 20pts/game kind of guy not too
long ago. How fast people forget!

will you cut the guy some slack already.....he wasn't able to workout
during the off season in 07 because he'd been a little tied up...hence
the weigh gain.

Any NBA team would be happy and honored to be bestowed with Isiah Lord
Thomas III's progeny.
